Looping Video
Desktop client only
This feature is available in the Canvus desktop client only. It is not present in the web-client touch UI. Operators using browser-based access will not see this feature.
Looping Video adds a loop toggle to every video widget on the canvas. When looping is enabled, the video restarts automatically at the end, playing continuously without a visible pause.
Enabling Loop Mode
A loop button appears in the playback controls at the bottom of every video widget.
- Tap the video widget to bring up its controls.
- Tap the loop button (circular arrow icon) in the playback bar.

Show: A video widget with its playback controls visible at the bottom. Highlight the loop button (circular arrow icon) between the play and mute buttons. The button should appear in its inactive (not looping) state.
When looping is active, the loop button highlights in blue.

Show: The same video widget playback controls with the loop button now highlighted in Canvus blue, indicating looping is active.
Disabling Loop Mode
- Tap the video widget to bring up its controls.
- Tap the loop button again.
The button returns to its inactive state and the video will stop at the end of playback.
Notes
Loop state is local only. Loop mode is not synchronised between users. If two people are viewing the same shared canvas, each person's loop setting for a video widget is independent. Enabling looping on your view does not enable it for others.
Seamless looping. Canvus uses a pre-emptive seek strategy to restart the video slightly before it reaches the end, eliminating the brief pause that would otherwise appear between the end and the start of a loop.
